The Paper Kites

Dark and fair were the curls in your hair
They were dark and fair
when i moved to place just under there
Where i d play and i d kiss that every day ?til i can t last

In the deep blue pools they were practically jewels
And i slipped down the face but i found my favourite place
And i searched and explored, found a freckle at the door
So i went inside, i went there many times

Then i climbed and i climbed and i left that place behind

i had never seen no beautiful a thing
And i slipped down those hills
may have left them with the chill
But a field had i found with a small hole in the ground
And i danced up and down i was twirling all around
Then i did see all those days
of beauty stretched in front of me
I would have liked to stay
