Sitting around the old house
Waiting for the grass to grow
I'm wondering about changes
And where the weary seasons go.

Sometimes I worry
And sometimes I ride.
We divide our fear like gold dust
Half to use and half to hide.

I'm sitting around the old house
Oh the way we used to play.
I can almost hear you saying
"Three cheers for Tuesday".

Well I spend my afternoons
Saying words and drinking wine.
It's always the same
Three steps forward and two behind.

So three cheers for Tuesday
And the falling of the veil.
Don't go back to the old house
